NIH Initiative to Modernize and Strengthen Biosafety

The proposed time slot for the Region 6 NIH Modernization Initiative engagement is February 26th, from 10:00am - 11:am Pacific, but may vary depending on how many speakers registered to provide their feedback.

BioNet intents to speak on behalf of our membership, reflecting the collective perspectives of biosafety professionals working across academia, healthcare, government, and industry. BioNet members are encourage to reply to the survey sent to all members so we can best tailor the formal statement to match the opinions of BioNet membership.

By becoming a BioNet member you:

·        Support the Southern California research safety effort with your involvement.

·        Be part of a group that has the power to make changes in the regulatory world.

·        Have access to the member-only benefits.

1.      Vote on BioNet issues and BioNet leadership

2.     Ability to run for a BioNet leadership position

3.     Reduced costs for the BioNet annual symposium, ABSA registration if not an ABSA member, free BioNet public meetings

4.    Access to a chat forum among Bionet members

·        Networking with those who are aware of upcoming employment opportunities.

·        Resume-building; BioNet has a visible presence in the San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles Biotech industry
