Dr. Zbigniew Mikulski, director of the La Jolla Institute for Allergy & Immunology Microscopy Core Facility, who presented at the Feb. 2, 2018 BioNet meeting, will give a citizen scientist talk at San Diego Public Library on February 15th at 6.30 pm. This event is free and intended for all ages.

Arthur C. Clarke once quipped that any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. Through images and movies, Dr. Zbigniew Mikulski will take you on a space odyssey to the outermost edges of the visible within us.

In his lecture, Mikulski will explore how microscopy has revolutionized our understanding of the immune system and new imaging techniques help researchers follow individual immune cells as they migrate to inflamed tissues.
